Conditions prior to the Sub-project implementation
The Brighton Village Road is located on the windward side of the island. Access to the area was difficult by community members and other commuters in the rainy season, there was also no proper drainage and channeling for large amount of water. Residents in the village feared for their homes, property and welfare whenever it rained.
